How to create your own
2010 Virtual PWS Event page
- Go to: www.fpwr.org
- Under “Upcoming Events” click on 2010 Virtual PWS Awareness Event
- Click on “Register Now”.
- Make a contribution. You must first contribute and then you can create your page.
- Fill in credit card information.
- Verify information is correct.
- Click “Make Contribution”.
- Click “Create your own Campaign Page”.
- Read “Set up personal campaign page information”. Then click “Continue”.
- On the Step 2 Page enter all the information. The mandatory information is marked with a red asterisk. This page is self-explanatory. The key to this page is the message box. Please tell us your story and why you are involved. This is the reason people will donate to you.
- Upload a picture. As the old adage says, a picture says a thousand words.
- Two neat features are the Progress bar which is a thermometer which will appear on your page. This will show you and your donors your progress toward your goal. The other feature is the Honor Roll. Donors can opt out if they do not want their names to appear.
- Click “Save”.
- You then will receive a confirmation email that you have built your page. (DO NOT DELETE THIS EMAIL)
- Open the email. Begin your efforts of telling a friend. Under the “Promoting your page section”, click on 2.
- This page is self-explanatory. Enter in as many email addresses as you can and hit the “Send your message button.”
Please do not delete your confirmation email. You can monitor your progress, make edits to your page and invite more friends. If you do delete it, you can always access it on the News and Events section under Personal Campaign Pages. Find your name and click on the link.
Thank you so much for your efforts and now ….go tell your friends.
