After much training, paperwork, email, and many phone calls, we are thrilled to announce that FPWR is now a part of the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). Please read the following from Jessica Baxley, coordinator of this project:

FPWR has been found eligible for inclusion as a national/international, independent organization in the 2008 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). The CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 300 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally to help to raise millions of dollars each year. Pledges are made by Federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season which will run from approximately September 1 through December 15.

FPWR's code for donors will be 41543. If you are a military, federal, or postal employee, you can contribute to FPWR through the CFC.

Now what’s not to love about that? My personal favorite phrase there is “millions of dollars.” Now, trying not to be greedy, I will say that I’m happy for all the charities that benefit from the CFC, but I’m ecstatic to think that we are now among them! What a wonderful funding source for our research program and what an easy way to donate for all of us who are qualified to give to FPWR through the CFC.

Thanks again to Jessica and to Jen Baffi for their diligence and patience while working through this process. Our members continue to delight us with ways they find to support our mission. While dealing with the issues that PWS brings to our lives, Jessica and Jen still made the time to do the work to qualify us for the CFC. You all are the best! Many, many thanks……
