Our dear friend, George, did something in a recent email that we often forget. In recalling the children he met at last year's Kentucky walk, he named names. Our children are not just a population with a diagnosis of PWS. Our children are individuals with names and it is those names that we fight for, that we live for!
We sometimes talk about them, and hear them talked about, like they were some type of collective entity, but they are as separate and unique as snow flakes. Just reading that list of names and thinking of them and so many others separately strengthened my resolve to work harder and smarter so they can have the individual lives that they deserve. Thanks for the vivid reminder George. You're such a dear!
