FPWR partners with COMBINEDBrain and Autism BrainNet to develop and maintain biorepositories for blood, urine, saliva, and post-mortem brain samples to ensure researchers have the tools they need to drive discoveries forward for our community. Utilizing standardized protocols for sample collection and processing will improve data quality and reproducibility.
Samples are available to researchers worldwide, supporting efforts to conduct molecular investigations and identify biomarkers. We are deeply grateful to the PWS and SYS families whose contributions help maintain these biobanks—these shared resources are strengthening research efforts and bringing us closer to meaningful treatments.
To explore blood, urine, and saliva samples, review sample processing protocols, and submit sample requests, please follow the link below to the COMBINEDBrain website. In order to request a sample, you will need to submit a form that includes a description of your research plans. FPWR reviews and approves all sample requests.

For brain tissue samples, follow the link below to view the Autism BrainNet catalog and submit sample requests. Researchers requesting samples will be required to provide a project abstract as well as demonstrate adequate funding. Applications are reviewed quarterly by the Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative (SFARI) and ranked according to their scientific merit.
